i am in a strange mood today..finding lots of disturbing articles and pictures..the top pic comes from ww1..always wondered where germany got their idea for the nazi icon and salute..and dont forget the “lucky star”..the bottom pic was true up until 1942 in the usa

I pledge allegiance to the flag: A loyalty oath created by Francis Bellamy and according to some it WAS the origin of the stiff-arm salute and robotic chanting to flags et cetera that was adopted later in Germany. Your comments are on target.

well you got it mostly right. not only was the salute created by “the socialist” bellamy, but so was the pledge itself. so every time you repeat the pledge of allegiance, you are repeating the words of a socialist. it is also interesting to note that the words “under god” weren’t added to the pledge until 1954.
