Nokia claims Apple violated nearly all their patents

Nokia, the world’s largest mobile phone maker, has ramped up its legal battle against Apple with claims that almost all of its patents are violated by Apple products, including the iPhone.
Since Apple’s introduction of the ubiquitous iPhone in 2007, Nokia has struggled to dominate the top-end of the mobile phone market.
Yesterday, the mobile phone giant revealed that it had filed a further complaint against Apple with the US International Trade Commission.
The Finnish phone maker said that Apple’s iPhone, iPods and computers all violate its intellectual property rights.
Nokia claims that Apple is “building its business” on Nokia mobile phone innovation.
Apple infringes Nokia patents in “virtually all of its mobile phones, portable music players, and computers” sold, the group said.
The legal wrangle is expected to last up to three years, with Nokia seeking compensation of up to US$1 billion, according to analysts in the US.
Nokia has previously sued Apple over the massively popular iPhone, claiming it infringes on 10 of its patents related to phone calls and Wi-Fi access.
In October Nokia said Apple was trying to hitch a “free-ride” on the back of Nokia’s technology.
Apple has countered with its own lawsuit, claiming that Nokia has copied aspects of the iPhone in its phones – infringing 13 of its patents – and accusing the group of anti-competitive practices.
Apple, which is based in Cupertino, California, did not immediately return a phone call for comment.

pretty huge allegations i would have thought..i have a feeling nokia isnt traveling very well..the iphone is hurting them and they dont seem to have a response yet for it..stay tuned..maybe nokia will be the big crash in europe and for finland
