  1. meanwhile the number one agenda for schools generally, meeting, after meeting, are visitors that come into the public schools in the U.S. to teach: critical thinking! It’s what is seen to be the number one lacking in today’s youth (and I would add adulthood). Teachers (i have first hand knowledge of this you might say) spend most of the days in which programs are set-up for teachers to learn while it is a day off for the students, getting advice from these visitors that the school districts bring in to get the teachers trying to cultivate ways in which to enhance the critical thinking skills of the students. It’s seen, as I pointed out, as the number one issue that teachers need to find ways to cultivate these skills. Of course they never come up with real answers on how to do this – literally – it’s a bunch of we need to get students to critically think but never an actual how to do this. Especially in light of all the regulations in schools now-a-days that constrain what teachers can teach (due to regulated tests, etc…) that the school must have students pass a certain percentage of these tests or else the school gets taken over by the state. So school districts are under pressure to weigh between spoon-feeding a certain curriculum within the classroom and having the students think critically and creatively. The opposite sides of the spectrum. One side with mandatory knowledge and skills being taught and the other side being the student thinking for him or her self. The former is what is pushed the most or else the state takes over. Yet the second is seen as lacking and disappearing so about ten meetings or more a year focus on critical thinking skills.

So which it? Am I supposed to be a critical thinker in this culture or get spoon-feed indoctrination! The latter is prioritized more highly in the school system. From the looks of it by this interview on CNN, being indoctrinated and doing exactly, without any critical thought or being creative whatsoever, is perceived as being sane and normal. It’s a culture issue. The critical thinking is seen as lacking but as I pointed out – never (not exegerating) – are answers given as to HOW to get students to critically think just simply that they need to. It’s all rhetoric with no meat because it’s a culture wide issue. Indoctrination is what is seen as normal. Don’t question anything and take your vitamins, get the swine flu shoot, and go back to sleep. I’d rather think critically and use logic, not let fear take over.
    peace!

    • they dont want you thinking thats for sure…i think all of us will use our logic here..but the others need to be told and warned that this line of reasoning being pushed by avlon is not right

  2. This John Avalon is a right wing tool that hitched his wagon to Rudy Guiliani. That was a dead end, so he is swimming hard.He is married to Hoovers great grand daughter and has parlayed that into a spot on Vanderbilt’s show.

It is good to be skeptical, and to question everything. But there is a limit. It hurts a persons credibility to openly espouse beliefs such as “The Reptilians”,or “jews sacrificing babies”. The search for truth is being made a farce by guys like John Avalon and, and the people that plainly say nonsense. Dont undermine honestly researched fact with shoodily constructed fiction.

  3. its a no brainer….of course conspiracy theorists are ‘disturbed’. they are disturbed by the establishments slaughter of innocents in the twin towers on 911, the subsequent slaughter of muslim innocents in iraq, and afghanistan, the murder of JFK, the port arthur massacre, the restrictions on human rights, freedom of speach, the theft of investors money due to the orchestrated ‘global financial crisis’, imposed immigration, and a media that in no way represents what is really happening in the world.

  4. Those with eyes to see, know what is happening and like you say Seek, we’ve been expecting it. In the meantime, leave it to the corporate government to make sure they drum up some business for Lily or Merck by classifying anyone who questions their spin and lies, as mentally ill or schizophrenic. Wonder how many young folks blogging on the face-book and questioning the government, will find DHS knocking on their door and bringing them to the psych ward!

Seems to me the media whores don’t care if their tools are far right or far left…so long as they are doing the job they are paid to do for TPTB.

    • as long as they get more money and power and fame..as anna does in the v series..seducing the reporter with offers so they portray them as they like

great point on the drugs for “rehab”

  5. oh yes…disturbed by; the global warming scam, the GM food disdrace, supression of disease cures, and the deadshits that murdered les darcy for political reasons…all those years ago..

  6. those posts arent doing anything for the cause. Quoting a TV show? lol. Dont give them ammo going off half cocked.

    • the people can be outraged at this squid..i think its outrageous..and no crime has been committed by any of us..its not 1984..yet..
this guy married into the hoover family..you think hes playing straight down the line with the viewers or pushing something? :)

  7. what people are outraged?

You and a few people that read your blog. But you get outraged at everything some unemployed makes a video about. You have to pick your battles.

    • the people you berated for voicing their concern were outraged including me..what unemployed guy made a video?..you lost me..explain yourself
