Death toll tops 100 as India cold wave endures
More than 100 people have died as a cold wave intensified its grip over northern and eastern parts of India, officials and news reports said Saturday.
The northern state of Uttar Pradesh, which has been the worst hit, has seen 22 new deaths since Wednesday, taking the death toll from a fortnight of cold weather to 63, according to figures released by the state government.
Most victims were either elderly or poor, with inadequate shelter and warm clothing, state officials said.
The town of Churk was the coldest place in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, recording a low temperature of 1.4 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, more deaths were also blamed on freezing temperatures in the eastern state of Jharkhand, increasing the death toll there to 62, the IANS news agency reported.
The capital New Delhi and the Himalayan states of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh have also experienced cold weather, leaving more than a dozen people dead there, according to local news channels.
Thick fog also engulfed many areas of the South Asian country on Tuesday, causing lengthy delays and cancellations of flights and trains in Delhi.
Weather bureau officials said the cold weather is likely to persist over the next few days in most northern states, including Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan.

of course there is cold in India and poor people who sleep in the streets have bee dying since ever not just recently because of global warming. and you are totally wrong about saying global cooling is happening not global warming. weather change is happening and it is not a topic worthy of a true conspiracy theorist anymore, the naysayers are agreeing that “weather change” is indeed a reality now. winters are harsher, summers are hotter, and rains are heavier. how can you be surprised that there is cold in India, there is cold and heat everywhere. The northern parts of India are hilly and mountainuous, of course there is extra cold there. But there is extra cold even in the rest of the country. and it was extra hot in june. So its not about cooling or heating, but weather change in general and i think it is happening, its not a hoax.
thats ok karan..i think your wrong and if you read my blog each day you will know why..i do posts each day on the hoax being played out on all of us..we are meant to be heating up..not cooling..the alarmists only mention cooling now because its hapening..a year ago they said nothing abut cooling did they?..they make this shit up as they go..global warming is a complete lie and utter bullshit..made to foster in global governance..my post recognises that india isnt heating up at all..

Karan, I do understand what you are saying, and you are right, but so is seek.
The elite are a very strange bunch, and it is hard to imagine how they think, so we have to look at their writings, their plans, and the history.
On one hand it is clear that they have some vision of a “paradise on earth” with only a few hundred million people, vast open spaces, and a clean environment.
But they are also, quite simply, insane. During the cold war, in which they created and supported both sides, some very scary, damaging things happened, including atmospheric tests of huge nuclear bombs. One US scientist even proposed moving the sun with a bomb in order to show the ‘commies’ how tough they were. And today they are spending billions on CERN which might wipe out all of humanity in the blink of an eye.
Anthropogenic Global Warming is a hoax, pure and simple. As the saying goes, the science is settled. CO2 concentrations follow, not lead, warming. Thus the entire hypothesis is null and void.
However, extreme weather is also a reality. So are an extreme number of 7+ earthquakes. Why? Because they are fucking the planet. And it is “they” and not “us.” They modify the weather; make it rain; make it not rain; make it not snow. They blow up oil wells in the gulf of mexico. Perhaps they even poison the air with chemtrails (not sure about that, but certainly possible).
In order to have global control – in other words to conquer the world – you must be the solution to a global problem. In the absence of such a problem, you will find it necessary to invent one. Problem, reaction, solution. Without a global problem, there is not a global reaction leading to a global solution.
They considered many scenarios for what the “problem” could be. Extraterrestrial threat has good potential for them, so does asteroid-about-to-hit-the-earth. But if you really, truly want to control people, to get into every aspect of their lives, the global warming hoax was perfect. CO2 is a basic part of the lifecycle. Once you regulate it, you regulate life.
The reason these people are dying in India and elsewhere is because they lack adequate housing and heating. Carbon taxes won’t change that. In fact, none of the solutions posed will decrease deaths in India – they just keep saying over and over again that there needs to be less people. We all know what the means … right?
