Norway has been hit by twin attacks – a massive bomb blast in the capital and a shooting attack on young people at a governing Labour Party youth camp.
At least seven people were killed in the bombing, which inflicted huge damage on government buildings in Oslo.
At least 10 more died at the camp, on an island outside Oslo, police say. One witness said he had seen 20 bodies.
The suspected gunman was arrested at the camp and the government have confirmed that he is Norwegian.
Police have said that he is also linked with the bomb attack. Reports described him as tall and blond.
Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg, whose Oslo offices were among those damaged by the bomb, described the attacks as “bloody and cowardly” in a news conference.
He said that Norway had been “shaken by evil” but that Norwegian democracy and ideals would not be destroyed.
“We are a small nation and a proud nation. No-one will bomb us to silence no-one will shoot us to silence,” he said.
Norwegian media reports said the shootings at the island, on the Tyrifjorden lake, were carried out by a man in police uniform.
Several people from the island camp are still missing, government officials said. Police also confirmed that undetonated explosives were found on the island.
No group has said it carried out the attacks.
The Foreign Minister was met with claims that Norway must recognize a Palestinian state when he visited the Labour Youth League summer camp Thursday.
During the second day of Labour Youth League summer camp at Utøya got the Labour Party’s young hopefuls visit by Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Store.
Together with the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation correspondent Sidsel Wold and Norwegian People’s Aid Kirsten Belck-Olsen, discussed the Foreign Minister of the deadlock between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
As foreign minister arrived Utøya he was met with a demand from the AUF that Norway must recognize a Palestinian state.

Earlier this week, when Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas visited Norway, the Minister said to TV 2 news channel that Norway stands ready to recognize a Palestinian state . This he repeated during the debate on Utøya.
We are ready to recognize a Palestinian state. I await the actual resolution text Palestinians will promote the UN General Assembly in September, said the Minister.
In autumn it is expected that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will bring the matter to the UN. Where will he ask for UN membership and recognition of a Palestinian state within the borders before the 1967 war, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Wednesday said AUF leader Eskil Pedersen that the AUF want a unilateral economic embargo of Israel from the Norwegian side.

The foreign minister admitted that the situation is untenable, but believes that the boycott is the wrong tool.

Store made the remarks at a meeting in Oslo with Iranian Ambassador Seyyed Hassan Rezvani, Press TV reported.
The Norwegian minister of foreign affairs expressed hope that Iran and the P5+1 group would continue nuclear talks and find a peaceful solution.
The P5+1 group consists of the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council — Britain, China, France, Russia, and the United States — plus Germany.
Iran is a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and thus has the right to enrich uranium to produce fuel.
And the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has conducted numerous inspections of Iran’s nuclear facilities but has never found any evidence showing that Iran’s civilian nuclear program has been diverted to nuclear weapons production.

Just called with Oslo where many of my friends life. One just around the corner of the bombing. Everyone is shocked, not able to give comments or whatever. I mean… it’s Oslo! Nothing ever happens there…

the youth wing of the labour party passed a resolution calling for israeli leaders to be arrested and tried for crimes against humanity. now that *entire generation* of future norwegian leaders is literally gone.

This combo bombing / shooting reeks to high heaven of a false flag psyop to keep Norway in the fight iagainst Lybia (among ither things). They are being punished for pulling out their 4 fighter jets from the conflict. There is a government behind this or at least its intel agency. I suspect one of Her majesty’s dominions – probably the US or even Great Britain. Like 9/11 and 7/7, this is designed to manipulate the masses in Scandinavia, to cause soul searching and anger and hate. We will see how this plays out, but if Norway does not rejoin the fight in Lybia, I will be surprised.
