Obama nominates Alan Krueger as his new chief economist

US President Barack Obama has nominated Alan Krueger, a Princeton University expert on unemployment, as his new chief economist.
The decision comes as the president prepares to unveil a new jobs package in a speech planned for shortly after the Labor Day holiday on 5 September.
High unemployment remains one of the main concerns about the US economy, with the rate standing at 9.1%.
Mr Krueger was previously a Treasury Department economist from 2009-2010.
If confirmed by the Senate, he will become the Obama administration’s third chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers in as many years.
Christina Romer served in the post from 2009-2010 and was followed by Austan Goolsbee. Both resigned after a year in the job to return to academia.
President Obama said: “As one of this country’s leading economists, Alan has been a key voice on a vast array of economic issues for more than two decades.
“Alan understands the difficult challenges our country faces, and I have confidence that he will help us meet those challenges as one of the leaders on my economic team.”

Krueger received his Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University’s School of Industrial & Labor Relations (with honors), and in 1987 he received his Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University. He has also published many books on issues related to education, labor markets and income distribution. He is also known for his work on the Environmental Kuznets Curve. Krueger grew up in Livingston, New Jersey, and graduated from Livingston High School in 1979. Between 2000 and 2006 he wrote for the New York Times Economic Scene column.

The only ”experts’ on unemployment, are those who are unemployed! These ‘think tank’ types, are useless policy makers to enrich those who have been ‘unemployed’ for generations, yet the wealthiest in the world. They live and breathe from the sweat of others, and steal their very souls. They are despicable, useless eaters!
The rest of these ‘tools’ are only there to promote the agenda of the Gangsters in Rome and the Banksters in the City of London and their puppet minions we foolishly call our leaders. They are ‘appointed’ and get out quick and make a few million bucks on the schemes and corrupt legislation and recommendations they helped create for their masters.
If the world ever turns, I would love to see all of these bastards live and breathe infinite ‘unemployment’ in the worst of the worst ghettos they helped create.

LOL, that’s kinda like “Which came first, the chicken or the egg?” Most of our Senators and Congressman are millionaires. Did they get it from their campaign donations? Or was it the payoff for voting a certain way for their benefactors…..neither here,or there, the way I see it lately, they were all willing to sell our country and its people down the tube for themselves. Makes them complicit, and useless to society, imo.
