EU bans claim that water can prevent dehydration..seriously..wtf?
EU officials concluded that, following a three-year investigation, there was no evidence to prove the previously undisputed fact.
Producers of bottled water are now forbidden by law from making the claim and will face a two-year jail sentence if they defy the edict, which comes into force in the UK next month.
Last night, critics claimed the EU was at odds with both science and common sense. Conservative MEP Roger Helmer said: “This is stupidity writ large.
“The euro is burning, the EU is falling apart and yet here they are: highly-paid, highly-pensioned officials worrying about the obvious qualities of water and trying to deny us the right to say what is patently true.
“If ever there were an episode which demonstrates the folly of the great European project then this is it.”

Tai jau tikrai, kad WTF ?!
There is a word called HYDRATION which is a function of water or any fluid which is coincidentally laced with water. Another word, DEHYDRATION is the converse of the first fact being HYDRATION. Ergo, the second fact being dependendent upon the first fact, is a function of water which can be advertised to conversely prohibit DEHYDRATION which is a fact. Any idiot politician and governental functionary should understand that. Well, maybe NO…and that’s a fact.
the EU are special people !
Are they really morons? Seems to me that this is done purposely and well thought out. This is how to keep the population confused and distracted. Now others will spend time to prove that water can prevent dehydration and on we will go.
Morons don’t know what they are doing; these people know what they are doing and they are getting the exact reaction they wanted.
not so sure they are that smart..to me it looks like a conclusion they have reached via some sort of fucked up prognosis..”well the result is what it is”..even if its imbecilic?..yes
i doubt many are spending time proving water hydrates you..a 4 y/o knows its true..
thanks for the comments
I can’t remember what “Agency” also recently defined Pizza as a vegetable, for school nutritional requirements….. it’s madness and people don’t care

its a good example of how the red tape and paperwork can produce a result that flies in the face of sanity..
Reminds me of the movie Idiocracy and Brawndo.
