Exucuse me…is this a Precursor to someone else telling me what I cannot smoke, drink or eat? What if I cannot afford to buy anything but nonsustainable food. Please do not give the US Congress ideas, For now they are burdened with so many good for the public, but not them, bills. I don’t think that Congress has the balls to take on Coca-Cola and MacDonalds. They have lobbyist with lots of money too. What about all those plastic bottles, straws and hamburger wrappers contaminating the enviroment and landfills, not to mention the grease in the sewers, and in our stomachs.

Monsanto does not advocate “sustainable food”. They advocate GMOs, which are patently not sustainable: that is in fact their purpose: to be unsustainable. A narrowed food supply is a more lucrative food supply. Contrary to industry propaganda, GMOs produce lower yields than non-modified crops and require more inputs (water, fertilizer, pesticide; herbicide). See this study; also this, this and this. GMOs are also inferior nutritionally to conventional hybrids and organic crops. Nor are they safe.
The desire for control of citizens’ food supply and the associated desire for a weak, sickly poulace is why Monsanto & other ag-chem companies destroy natural pollinators (bees, other insects) that you and I can rely upon and build mechanized pollinators that work obviously only on crops strictly controlled for height, spacing, etc, (the transplant industry has already been completely mechanized by Speedling’s plug system: this is just the next step).
This article is a little out of date, but it is accurate in its forecast of market concentration: the 77% market share of the top 6 [BASF, Bayer CropScience, Dow AgroSciences LLC, DuPont, Monsanto Company(Pharmacia), & Syngenta(Novartis)] has increased in the intervening 5 years.
Curious how many of them were nazi companies or companies that hired Nazis or worked with Nazis or worked for Nazis. Just sayin.not sure what happened to this post..but on monsanto you are right..they dont want it sustainable..they want it to be bought each year

These companies really are connected quite thoroughly with the nazis, and that’s not even going into the crossover with their boards and the military and think tanks. I live in NC, biotech ground zero; this is (one of) my particular hobbyhorse(s)
