Canada dumps Kyoto plus assorted alarmist headlines
Canada will announce next month that it will formally withdraw from the Kyoto Protocol, CTV News has learned.
The Harper government has tentatively planned an announcement for a few days before Christmas, CTV’s Roger Smith reported Sunday evening.
The developments come as Environment Minister Peter Kent prepares for a climate conference in Durban, South Africa that opens on Monday, with delegates from 190 countries seeking a new international agreement for cutting emissions.
Issues on the agenda include extending the Kyoto emission targets, a move being championed by Christiana Figueres, head of the UN climate secretariat.
Kent said in the House of Commons on Nov. 22 he won’t sign a document at the Durban conference that extends the Kyoto targets.
“Canada goes to Durban with a number of countries sharing the same objective, and that is to put Kyoto behind us,” Kent said.
NDP environment critic Megan Leslie called the government’s decision to pull out of the Kyoto accord “disappointing.”
“It’s a really cynical and it’s a really cowardly move,” Leslie told CTV News.
Green Party Leader Elizabeth May called the move “a very damaging act of sabotage.”
“It will reverberate around the world,” May told CTV. “Canada will be a pariah globally if it goes through with this.”
The accord is set to expire next year.
Kent told The Canadian Press that the Kyoto Protocol is out of date because it excludes major emitters among developing nations, including China, India and Brazil.

401: The list adequately suggest that this is a hot topic for you to the point of absolute obsession. Cool off, the weather will take care of itself while mankind fucks all over themselves about this debate which really is much ado about nothing; Besides, “Kent told The Canadian Press that the Kyoto Protocol is out of date because it excludes major emitters among developing nations, including China, India and Brazil.” How serious can this Kyoto thing be when it leaves out the future foremost industrial and automotive polluters to come. Of course, Ted Turner’s solution is to have a nuclear holocost and cut the human population by half.

OK…a lot of cryptic and national notables, clubs, organizations and esoteric crap that is going on all about the mysterious one world government, foreign intriuge, Mein Kampf crazies, etc, et al. ~ what’s to come out of it all…anything? I thought much of this would be sorted out especially at the end of this system of things which is already out of control.

Grant it that all you note is true, but is it a revelation? I have one simple naive esoteric question to ask ~ does God have any say in any of this and if so…are we just so frustrated with his time table, or are we laboring under our own?
god has no say in it unless you are a believer and then of course he controls the earth..now..the irony is that we are being told we are all gods and we can change the worlds temperaure we are that powerful..we can change it and we are so fucking good we can fix it to..delusions of grandeur?
