UN calls for protection of gay rights

Globally, homosexuals and transgender individuals face discrimination and violence, including killings, rape and torture because of their orientation, and risk the death penalty in at least five countries, the United Nations says.
In the first official UN report on the issue, released on Thursday, the world body called on governments to protect lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people, prosecute all serious violations, and repeal discriminatory laws.
“Homophobic and transphobic violence has been recorded in all regions. Such violence may be physical (including murder, beatings, kidnappings, rape and sexual assault) or psychological (including threats, coercion and arbitrary deprivations of liberty),” said the report by Navi Pillay, the UN’s High Commissioner for Human Rights.
Pillay said governments should also outlaw all forms of abuse based on sexual orientation and set the same age of consent for heterosexual and homosexual activity.
The UN Human Rights Council commissioned the report in June when it recognised the equal rights of LGBT people and said there should be no discrimination or violence based on sexual orientation. Western countries called the vote historic but Islamic states firmly rejected it.
“On the basis of the information presented (in this report), a pattern of human rights violations emerges that demands a response,” Pillay said.
“Governments and inter-governmental bodies have often overlooked violence and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity,” she added.
In addition to spontaneous “street” violence, people perceived as being LGBT may be targets of more organised abuse,
“including by religious extremists, paramilitary groups, neo-Nazis and extreme nationalists,” the UN report said.

might as well legalise pedophilia as well then..so worried about LGBT issues, what about human issues like no food or water?? not as important? i am for no discrimination but there are many more important issues to be worked through that affect the entire population, not just a small minority of the population..

The UN…the weak kneed parasites cannot work together to address hunger in the world, wars and pestilence and disease, but they sure can make sure the gays have a right to be gays and flaunt it in our face. A grand priority that is fitting for…the illustrious UN. To add insult to injury, I expect the drafter of this high priority proposal…will be nominated for the Nobel Peace of ass award. Because as far as the UN goes, we are all fucked.

The UN should heed their own advise and stop killing, maiming, starving and committing crimes against ALL humanity, and not limit it to those who are LGBT, because they are just people, who in my opinion, have become SO hung up on their own sexuality, or SO empowered by it, they forget that MOST people do NOT go around speaking of this very private part of their lives or expect special privileges from it. This is an agenda. The whole marriage issue is almost mute, in my opinion. No one of mature age, ever needed anyone’s permission, nor a license, nor a priest/pastor/minister, to make a commitment of marriage between themselves. That is just another “illusion” that has been put into TPTB’s many unlawful rules for us, in order to substantiate their thinking that they own us, and the world.
You mark my words, the people in the gay community will be used over and over again, as are – and were, the people in the black community, in order to create division among us, while in fact, creating stereotypes that stripped people of their confidence and self worth, crippling many both economically and psychologically, and physically, while creating more discrimination and injustice than had they just let them live and be what they are, ‘people’, not anomalies and not less a man than anyone else. They are in the process of destroying another group of people, not helping them.
To single any group of people out like this, can only be to their detriment as society has shown us time and time again. This agenda is being used for hatred – them against us – us against them – their skin color – their sexuality – their nationality – their religion, and sick individuals take this further to create physical harm to innocent people. Makes me sick to my stomach. Created “equal” my ass! Why is the government and the church and their state media, always making people unequal or of less value? Why are so many black men shown in the movies to be complete morons and criminals? Why are gays being shown in the movies to be completely immoral and downright disgusting? To play on our emotions, and to have us associate these images with all people of color and with all gay people. This is some TAVISTOCK shit.
If the UN is looking to protect someone, than go after the damn Catholic Church/Vatican and their psychopathic, pedophile priests who show up first in these third world countries to start the rape of the nation as ‘missionaries’, and protect the innocent children from the men in black and their puppets, and leave adults to make adult choices without agendas and with whatever societal consequences that come along with them. No one in this world will ever agree with the choices that others make, but it is their right to make those choices, and DO NO HARM to others.

They could use a voice of reason and common sense, but I suppose this is too common for them…and denitely makes too much sense. You would be a real threat to their sensativities.
