of course it’s real, just like ‘intention’ (ala ‘the secret’) is real to a certain extent. the first step in making something happen is to intend for it to happen afterall.
that’s one of the things that distinguishes occult religions; they are often based on the achievement of desires unlike the mainline religions which manufacture a goal (eternal life, nirvana, etc) for you. this is one of the reasons psychopaths and control freaks tend to gravitate to the occult…
i dont personally believe in any such gods or powers, but having belief does help drive people to their goals.
