Russia calls U.S. move to better arm Syrian rebels a “hostile act”

Russia said on Tuesday that a U.S. decision to ease restrictions on arming Syrian rebels had opened the way for deliveries of shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles, a move it said would directly threaten Russian forces in Syria.

Moscow last year launched a campaign of air strikes in Syria to help President Bashar al-Assad and his forces retake territory lost to rebels, some of whom are supported by the United States.

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said the policy change easing restrictions on weapons supplies had been set out in a new U.S. defense spending bill and that Moscow regarded the step as a hostile act.

U.S. President Barack Obama, who has been sharply critical of Russia’s intervention in Syria, signed the annual defense policy bill into law last week.

State Department spokesman Mark Toner dismissed the Russian charges, saying the administration remains opposed to providing portable anti-aircraft missiles, or MANPADS, to Syrian opposition groups.

“Our position on MANPADS has not changed. We have a very deep concern about that kind of weaponry getting into Syria,” Toner said, referring to fears that portable anti-aircraft missiles could end up in the hands of Islamist militants and be used against civilian airliners.

The National Defense Authorization Act, signed into law by Obama on Dec. 23, appears designed to assuage the administration’s misgivings but imposes a new layer of congressional oversight on any presidential decision to provide them.

A provision bars the U.S. Defense Department from spending funds on MANPADS for Syrian rebel groups until the secretaries of state and defense submit a report to congressional committees explaining the decision to do so.

  1. Last time i looked, ISIS were the rebels. Once conspiracy theorists were laughed at for suggesting ISIS was an cia/american instrument, now they openly admit it! Are us conspiracy theorists EVER wrong about anything?

  3. one of the3-WARMONGERS that trying to spread fake-everything for THEY-WARS
    the other SHUMMER&GRAHAM
old-docu watch it again always R-peats with THEY

  4. Trump aint perfect, but ive yet to see anyone else as, financially capable, smart, electable, that is as close to what we believe as Trump. Ron Paul? Really? He failed anyway. Trump aint the best, but he is the best we got. At least he questions 911!

As for 5 predictions… 1; He does or tries to do everything he stated.
    *Drain the swamp,
    *jail hillary,
    *build a wall,
    *create jobs,
    *re negotiate international trade deals,
    *etc, etc, etc.

So instead of all you blokes and shielahs dreaming of the second coming of christ to sort out all the globalists, why not give this bloke a chance to do what he says before writing him off?

Of course you will look at him through conspiracy eyes. But remember he cant change everything. No one could. But at least give the bloke a shot. Because if he is genuine, he deserves your support. He is certainly upsetting all the right people, saying all the right things. I cant fault him yet.

    • to close to israel..even stronger now..

if he wavers on the paris agreement then hes dead to me..hillary wont be jailed..a solid structure will not be built across the mexican border..theres a few predictions as well..we can check back in 4 years.. 🙂

    • he does not question 9/11. that was a fake news story from ‘yournewswire’ and ‘world new daily report.

he did mention some anomalies on the day of the event, and he has alluded to the saudis and the ’28 pages’ nonsense.

he’s best buds with nethanyahu, dont expect any 9/11 truth.

  5. Seek. I dont think he could get where he is if he didnt have the backing of some part of the establishment. I suspect it is A FACTION of zionest jews that have his back.

YET. Despite that, He was, and still is, so slandered by (jewish) Mainstream media, the (jewish) elite, US (zionist) politicians on both sides, the names of which are exactly the ones we hate the most, gives me enough evidence to say he is really trying to go in a different direction to the globalists.

Not everything can be orchestrated. This is history we are watching. What we are witnessing now is ‘interesting times’ in history. Trump is radical. He has radical views, and radical plans. He has a history of following through..The establishment opposition against him proves it.

I believe this part of history, is bigger politically than any time since the 2nd world war! This is bigger than Kennedy, bigger than Nixon. We are watching history. This is a time our grandkids will ask about. SEEKER… Watch it. Cover it. Report on it.

Well you may say, ‘he didnt do this or that’…. but this will prove to be the biggest story in 100 years. Just watch!!

    • i realise this a special event for many reasons..he was allowed to grow by the dnc who wanted him as the pied piper candidate they could trash and tear down..that backfired on them..and then the genie wouldn’t go back in the bottle..

    • the media would routinely ignore candidates they didnt like. but they loved trump and covered him like crazy.

  6. His 1st real test looks to be vs North Korea who have just said they are testing an ICM. He said in a tweet…”it wont happen..’. He has also tweeted China is smashing the US in a one sided trade deal, AND they should do something about NK. …………….”the art of the deal…” (by twitter) no less. Hhahahah!!

  8. Jim McGreevey and His Main Man
Golan Cipel was only a plaything. It was developer Charles Kushner who speeded his passage through the swamps of New Jersey patronage politics—till Kushner was brought down in his own spectacular sex scandal.

Less than 24 hours after New Jersey developer Charles Kushner pleaded guilty to retaliating against a federal witness and filing both false tax returns and false campaign-finance reports, the would-be political kingmaker was in his office on Columbia Turnpike in Florham Park. Shamed, humiliated, and facing at least a year and a half in jail, he was discussing his predicament with defense attorney Ben Brafman, marveling at how fast his life had unraveled. Wasn’t this the same man who had built Kushner Companies into a billion-dollar real-estate empire that controlled office buildings, condominiums, and apartments in half a dozen states? Hadn’t he skillfully crafted a role for himself as a major power broker with unfettered access by contributing millions of dollars to politicians?

It was no accident that when Bill Clinton was president, he made several appearances at Kushner functions in Florham Park. So had former Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu. And so, especially, had Governor James McGreevey, who, more than any of the others, was a political creature built of his will and cash. Kushner, 50, was also a towering figure in the Jewish community, building schools, helping synagogues, and contributing freely to a broad variety of causes both here and in Israel.

There is a strange symmetry to the fall of the two titans. Exactly one week before, McGreevey had also lost nearly everything he had worked his whole life to achieve. In an even more public, more personal, and more heavily scrutinized admission of guilt, McGreevey stood in the statehouse in Trenton, flanked by his oddly smiling wife and his parents, and admitted his own lies, deceptions, and sensational bad judgment. “My truth,” he said, “is that I am a gay American.”

more here Interesting connections of Trump’s In Laws. Charles Kushner is a devout ‘Jew’.

    • :The Kushner family is part of a New Jersey phenomenon known as the Holocaust builders. In the post–World War II wave of survivors who came to America was a small group of men who settled in northern New Jersey and became extraordinarily successful builders and real-estate developers. In addition to the Kushners, there are the Wilfs, the Rosens, and the Zuckerman and Pantirer families. (Zuckerman and Pantirer were saved by Oskar Schindler, and everything they build has a street or a building named for Schindler.)

The families operate like clans, with sons and daughters and sons-in-law and grandkids all working in the business. They are active in communal Jewish life, and outside of the occasional mention in one of the Jewish newspapers, they work very hard to fly under the radar.

Kushner’s high profile was always an irritant to the other families. He has been referred to as the Dapper Don of the Holocaust builders. Not only did he have the silver hair, impeccably tailored suits, and the swagger, but like John Gotti, he brought far more attention to his community than any of the others were comfortable with. “In New Jersey, you contribute money not for access but results,” says Alan Marcus, founder of the Marcus Group, a political-consulting company. “Anybody who doesn’t admit that is lying.”

The hooker hired by New Jersey real-estate tycoon Charles Kushner to carry out the steamy videotaped seduction of a key tax-fraud witness against him is cooperating with federal authorities, The Post has learned.

The blond bombshell agreed to testify against Kushner after she was given two options – cooperate or face arrest, according to sources familiar with the case.

Kushner, 50, was arrested Tuesday on charges he set up and taped the compromising motel-room sex romp in a bid to intimidate the witness – his brother-in-law William Schulder, who had worked for Kushner, according to a criminal complaint filed in Newark and prosecutors.

    • The old honey pot trick!

      • Yep, it seems so. So, since Jared Kushner, the son, nixed old Chris Christie, the man who prosecuted his father, I wonder what’s in store for the others who crossed the former Holocaust Builder family? Is the son of Charles who seems to have a huge say in bringing in all of the NeoCon, Israel First crowd into Trump’s cabinet trying to make amends for the sins of his father, or is he setting up his own ‘honeypot’ for those who doubled crossed him? These ‘games of thrones’ are getting old.
