  1. The eclipse was very bright here. Usually the sun is a yellow-orange color, but during the eclipse the light was a piercing white. It hurt the eyes to even try to look near it without glasses. In totality, one could look at the eclipse; it was dark somebody was telling me of their experience yesterday while they were in Wyoming.

The picture below was just off the internet, but during the eclipse, the shadows I saw were like it (crescent shape).

    • off regards to the rainbow header on my blog:

Australia will be holding a national survey on marriage equality over the next two months. To show our support for marriage equality, we’re showing the rainbow bar to all our Australian visitors. You can read more about the marriage equality campaign here:

We cannot remove this banner for individual sites. We understand it looks a bit different to what you’re used to, but it’s here for everyone. We absolutely respect your right to publish the content you choose to your site, but the navigation bar styling reflects’s stance as a company.

The rainbow bar will remain until after the survey results are released, on November 15.

If this causes you to choose to leave, we’re sorry to see you go. You can find documentation on how to move your site here:

      • I do not see the rainbow header.

The Nashville Statement was signed August 29, 2017 by some Christians. Our church had already made a public statement in regards to marriage, i.e. between one man and one woman only. These type of statements have been made and are still being publically made due to our day and age.

        From the Nashville Statement:
        “Article 1

WE AFFIRM that God has designed marriage to be a covenantal, sexual, procreative, lifelong union of one man and one woman, as husband and wife, and is meant to signify the covenant love between Christ and his bride the church.

WE DENY that God has designed marriage to be a homosexual, polygamous, or polyamorous relationship. We also deny that marriage is a mere human contract rather than a covenant made before God.”

      • Here is a church synod writing that with gentle love demonstrates the sin and temptation of same-sex orientations and how a faith in Jesus Christ is a repentant walk before the LORD in holiness:

“In a series of short chapters, the book outlines the history of modern thinking about sexuality, addresses the key theological and textual arguments of those opposed to the traditional Christian approach, shows how the Westminster Standards apply to the matter, and, in a final chapter, offers very good practical pastoral advice as to how to care for those struggling with same-sex temptation. It concludes with a select bibliography.

“The book is firmly biblical in argument, charitable and moderate in tone, and deeply pastoral in concern and application. It should be on the shelf of every minister and elder. This is one of the most pressing moral, social and political issues of our day and this brief book is a treasure trove of thoughtfulness.”

“”All Australians deserve the same opportunity for love, commitment and happiness. All people in Australia should be able to marry the person they love,” Brown told journalists outside the court.

“According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, who will be running the survey, voters will have until November 7 to submit their forms.
The final result will be revealed on November 15th.”

Romans 1:24-29,32 “24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. 26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness… 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.”

  2. What a great comment by the blind USC kicker (a picture of his guide dog below):
Olson, “If you can’t see how God works things out, then I think you’re the blind one.”

  3. Reblogged this on World4Justice : NOW! Lobby Forum..

  4. there’s an obvious effort to promote the idea that antifa and the neo nazis share a moral equivalence. that’s bullshit.

anarchists rushed to houston to rescue people. the proud boys rushed to houston to form ‘anti-looting patrols’ (i.e. to shoot black people).

if the ‘alt-right’ has their way, armed men will come to my home and force me to leave. antfifa, some of whom are wed to horrible commie ideologies, but some of whom are actually anarchists, don’t want that to happen.

so, again, no moral equivalence. people are butt hurt because some nazis got punched? boo hoo hoo.

  6. Pertaining to the image about school. The image and chart would be unquestioned conformity. Critical thinking is the norm in the U.S.; though, such thinking without content and meaningful consideration is not helpful either. A very simplistic example, an immoral and moral person may critically think, remembering something to analyze, and be creative; yet the content of what the person is critically thinking about may not be good and what may be deemed creative is actually destructive.

The question of authority is a question of who is the authority. Is sin the master, or is the Lord Jesus Christ the master?

Romans 6:11,17-18, “11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. 17 But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. 18 And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.”
